How to buy?

Technically I have a store on the web. It works. I’ve tested it.

But…I want to actually interact with people who follow me and like my work. So, if you’d like to order prints, send me a DM on twitter (@nic_calavera) and I’ll send you an invoice through Paypal.

Paypal invoices are pretty easy – I just need your email connected to Paypal, and then you get an email with a list of what you’re buying and how much it costs – once the invoice is paid then your order ships! It works great and it lets you know exactly what you’re getting and how much you’re paying in case there’s a mistake or you need to make changes.

What should I buy?

Personally, I think the “Candy Bag” is the best deal. You’re basically getting 2 high quality art prints for free – the Twilight Dreamer print originally retailed for $15 and is printed on 10 pt felt woven card stock – and you’re also getting a very rare, out of print comic by “Nick Calavera.”

International Customers

So for my followers who live outside of the United States and are interested in buying my prints, we need to face an uncomfortable fact: shipping is really expensive.

I have a solution in mind, but I”m going to ask you to DM so we can discuss the details. If you want my art then I want to get it into your hands somehow.

Errata and Esoterica:

Nic’s Message to the Kingdom of Monsters

I don’t know if I ever told you guys this, but, YOU are the Kingdom of Monsters in my screen name on Twitter. A monster is someone who doesn’t have a place in the world – and we came together and we made a place where we belong.

I love you.

And I want you to know that when I make art, it’s because I want to give you something that you’ll like. Because without you, there is no Nic Calavera.

Color Dreams

I don’t do a lot of color work – my mind tends to work in black and white. So, when I do color things, it’s a pretty big deal.

With that said, let me present to you the Candy Store prints:

Each image measured 9″ x 12″ and is printed on high quality 12 pt card stock with a semi-gloss finish. I went with that size and paper stock because it really shows off the hyper saturated colors and sexy, surreal, and detailed imagery that people associate with Nic Calavera.

I hope you like them.

What is Delirium Issue # 3?

Delirium Issue # 3

Delirium was a short lived comic created by “Nick” Calavera. Originally intended to be an ongoing monthly series, things didn’t quite work out…

For a long time, these comics were lost – I had a few digital images of interior art as well as the cover art – but the contents were largely a mystery. Recently, someone named Caroline got in touch with me and through her I was able to obtain the last surviving copies of issue # 3 of the comic, with instructions that it should be distributed to people who would appreciate it.

Aren’t you Nick Calavera?

It’s complicated.

Nic Calavera is a name that’s been passed down through generations of outsider artists to ensure that art and ideas never die. I am Nic Calavera, the current holder of the name. Nick Calavera was the person who gave the name to me.
